Privacy policy

Kelly’s is a one-person plumbing business and is small enough that it is not required to publish a privacy policy. This page exists anyway, because you are handing over your name and number and you should be able to see what happens to them without having to ask.

Who is collecting it

What is collected, and why

• Booking and quote forms. Your name, phone, email and the address and details of the job. Collected so Chris can quote the work, turn up at the right place and invoice it.
• Guide and resource pack downloads. Your name, email and, for strata, your firm. Collected so the document can be sent to you.
• Giveaway entries. Your first name, email and mobile. Collected so you can be contacted if you win. Last name and suburb are optional and only help sort duplicate entries.
• Website analytics. Anonymous information about which pages get read and on what kind of device, through Google Analytics. This is not linked to you by name.

Nothing else is collected. There is no account to create, no payment details taken on this website, and no tracking of you across other sites.

Marketing email is a separate decision

Filling in a form does not sign you up to anything. Every form that offers email updates does it as a separate tick box that starts unticked, and whatever you are asking for is sent either way.

Who else sees it

Your details are never sold, rented or given to anyone for their own marketing. They are handled by a small number of services that make the business run:

• WP Engine hosts this website and its form entries.
• ServiceM8 is the job management system Chris uses to schedule and invoice work.
• Google Analytics provides the anonymous website statistics described above.
• An email platform is used to send updates to people who have asked for them. Kelly’s is moving to Kit for this. If you have not opted in to email updates, your details are not put into it.

Some of these services store information overseas. Details are also given to a third party where the law requires it, and to the partner business supplying a prize if you win one, so they can honour the voucher.

How long it is kept

Job records are kept for seven years, because tax and warranty obligations require it. Giveaway entries are kept until the promotion is finished and the prizes claimed, then deleted, unless you separately opted in to email updates. Email subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe.

Seeing it, fixing it, or having it deleted

Email chris@kellysplumbinganddrainage.com and ask. You can request a copy of what is held about you, have something corrected, or have your details deleted. There is no charge and no form to fill in. The only thing that cannot be deleted on request is a record Chris is legally required to keep, such as an invoice.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for Google Analytics and to keep the site working. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works if you do.
