Manly gets a lot of tradies through it. It's a big suburb with old homes, dense apartment stock, short-term rentals, commercial premises, and a constant churn of renovation and repair work. The volume of trades moving through Manly means homeowners there have usually had a few different plumbers and have a reasonable idea of what separates a good one from a bad one.
Federation and Victorian homes in the streets behind the beach are some of the oldest on the Northern Beaches. These properties have plumbing that has been added to, modified, and in some cases done badly over a very long period. Working in them properly means understanding what you're looking at before you start.

Apartments and units have their own set of common problems: shared water infrastructure, ageing hot water systems, drainage that serves multiple dwellings. I work through it carefully, particularly where the fault in one apartment affects another.
